Hon. Sashi Kiran
Hon Sashi Kiran is a Fijian politician, social entrepreneur and activist, who was elected to the Fiji Parliament for the first time in December 2022, a member of the National Federation Party. She was appointed Assistant Minister of Woman, Children and Poverty Alleviation in the PAP/NFP/SODELPA Coalition Government. She is the founder and former director of a non-profit community organisation known as Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises and Development (FRIEND) in Fiji. In 2015 she was appointed a member of Fiji's Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission. In August 2024, she was appointed to lead the steering committee for the Fiji Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
